We (my family) give my dad a lot of crap for his little personality traits. He's anal about a lot of stuff, from how things are arranged on his dresser, to how his computer files are organized. I lived with him for a summer, and his shopping list was always up-to-date and in the same place, he was obsessive about his monitor being off when you're not using it, and lights should be off if you're not in the room.
We give him a lot of crap sometimes, but the more time goes by, and the older I get, the more I realize... I'm getting to be just like him. And it's driving my roommate nuts. But now I understand why he's like that--it's just a better way to live. Structured, static, and simple.
