Let f(x,y)=3/2, x2 < y < 1, 0 < x < 1, be the joint p.d.f. of X and Y. Find:

  1. P(0 < X < 1/2).
  2. P(1/2 < Y < 1).
  3. P(1/2 < X < 1, 1/2 < Y < 1).
  4. P(X > 1/2, Y > 1/2).
  5. Are X and Y independent?

I failed my most recent probability test. In addition, I'm completely lost on what we're currently working on (correlation coefficients of multi-variable distributions).
