I'm making a hip-hop mix, and I want ideas for the track listing. Some of the tracks already sure to be on the list:

What else?

"Ride the Train, Quad City DJ's 100% Pure Love, Crystal Waters Or just hang on and I'll get you a playlist from my early Y-94 days. Much fun will be had by all."

"100% Pure Love is an excellent choice, but I think that's more techno than hip-hop. Maybe I'll make a techno mix, too. (Just to allay fears of other readers, QCDJs will not be in the mix. Try to excuse my sister, she used to work for a top-40 station. =)"

Several decades of extremely intense pressure on ordinary people to emulate the increasingly fabricated images they see around them are beginning to produce a backlash. The taste for the ordinary can be seen as a reaction to the glut of glamour media images with which we are all constantly bombarded, and reality genres are, at least in part, bound up in this.

It's fun to take real geeks to geek movies. Mgr. Dave and I saw Reloaded on Saturday, and upon seeing Trinity hack a *nix box (apparently dropping a root kit from memory), Dave and I simultaneously started laughing like toddlers. What keeps me giggling from time to time, is the thought of what everyone else in the theater must have been thinking. Micah tells us that Dave and I were the only ones laughing; I suppose the others were wondering what they missed...
Trinity's command output. Dave later looked into it, and told me that the exploit she used was found in 2001, but did in fact exist in 1999, which is "the peak of our civilization" and the time in which the matrix is set.

"That is why I don't talk to you about those kind of movies....I never know what the hell you are talking about!!! I'm a geeks worst nightmare..the dumb blond chick!"

"It's like when i take Vanessa with me to movies that involve murder and i say "that's so fake the blood spattering is all wrong" and when the cops walk around the crime scene stupidly and i get annoyed and say "they're damaging vital forensic evidence" at which point Vanessa turns and glares at me and i shut up."

"you sound like my friends ... sitting in matrix reloaded and they saying "those sfx are so crap" ... well, they weren't the best and I am a 3-d animator but I still felt like backhanding them"

Adam Brodsky is going to tour fifty states, doing fifty folk shows in fifty days. Cool stuff. Maybe I'll have to go to my parents' place that weekend and see him play Bismarck.

I doubt many bloggers care about their CMS's security, but PHP-Nuke has been blasted a lot on bugtraq lately with a ton of SQL injection problems, while at the same time, Movable Type had a XSS vulnerability loudly published--that didn't work. I was impressed with the language Ben used to address the situation.
If I were Joi, I'd've invested, too.

So I'm studying for my Spanish final tomorrow, and I'm trying to figure a way to remember the weird way Spanish forms sentences with direct objects and whatnot...
For example, in Spanish, instead of saying "I already explained it to you." you would say "Ya te lo expliqué," which literally means "Already to you it I explained."
Then it occurred to me! In essence, the sentences always have this same basic form: To someone something is done. Like, "Yes, to Obi-Wan you must listen!" SPANISH PEOPLE TALK LIKE YODA! And Yodish, I don't have to remind you, is a grammar I know well. This test is set, yo.

Comments:
"*Laughing out loud* Spanish compared to Yoda-speak. New theory, it must be tested."

The universe is shaped exactly like the earth, if you go straight long enough, you'll end up where you were.

Update: I feel compelled to post the MP3, because I love this song too much. Oh, my God, I can't stop hearing it, even when it's not playing.
