You sit stuck at traffic lights and work out a more efficient algorithm for them, based on road orientation, sensor placement, time of year, time of day, weather and local sporting events, in your head.
I do this. Really. 13th Ave. South bugs me.
In addition, I did get a D in several programming classes. Mostly because I was busy programming other things.

I have a bit of a theory about why I'm sick so rarely: it's because most people don't have the kind of exposure to germs that I do. You see, doing dishes at my place is a bit of a conundrum. The dishes pile up, and I don't wish to wash them, because I'm kind of disgusted by them--which of course has the effect of making them more disgusting by the day. Eventually, they build up to the point where I realize that I have to do something about them, simply because I can no longer have company over (that, and I'm running out of dishes). Then I spend a couple hours washing them up. Some of you think this is hyperbole. Others know better. That's why I don't get sick: hyper immune system development.

Just as Bush changed his mind on supporting the creation of a Homeland Security Department and creation of the independent Sept. 11 Commission, it took him a while to endorse the commission's strong recommendation that any new director of national intelligence have full budget-making control, necessary to wield true power in Washington. Bush at first rejected that idea but later supported it.
Hear that? That's the sound of stones crashing through Dubya's glass house.

Every so often, I do a little ego surfing--just to see what's popping up. Hits of interest:
- One thing I've learned as a web developer is that the internet has a toothpaste quality to it: once it's out, it's out forever. Regardless of how much you wish you could take it back.
- Well, you got part of it right. Actually, he came up with the blog code, I just wrote some code that makes it useful. However, I'm amused that my blog was described as "terrifying."
