Wired has a fairly decent article on lockpicking.
I've had a lot of people ask me about lockpicking, and when I start to tell them about the European competitions, they look at me as if I'm describing some sort of queer foreign ritual; like neck-stretching or body painting. This article gives it a more normal, competitive light. I'm tellin' you: locks beat crosswords any day of the week.

"yes, but crosswords you can take on the plane! HA!"

I have to admit: I'm very pleased with my wireless carrier. CDMA phones suck, but I have to give Verizon wireless some serious props for the service they provide. I mention this now because I just discovered that I can update my ESN any time on demand... over the web.
I never would have thought. Do other carriers do this?
I've always held some lust for Natalie Portman. Even in Leon, though it's kind of inappropriate considering how young she was when she made that movie. Anyway, it doesn't matter. My lust for Nat has all but dissolved. Why? I just listened to the commentary on the DVD of Garden State. Turns out she's cute, but totally dim-witted. Pity.

"Dim-witted as in not intelligent or as in not wise? Help me out here..."

"I don't get the deal with Natalie Portman, you and Danny dig her.
As for the dim-witted comment, isn't it sad she graduated from Harvard with a degree in Psychology. Am i the only one going huh?"

"SHE WHAT?!?
Don't get me wrong, I don't get the impression that she's stupid, just...
There are some people who are naturally intelligent--people who are inquisitive, have a passion for learning, thirst for knowledge, and gather it fairly easily. In contrast, there are people who memorize things they need to, and see that "learning" as a means to something else. They're not really interested in anything they can't immediately use, and not really intending to put what they do manage to gather to practical use. If you wish to stereotype, you could say there are people who read, and people who watch sitcoms. She strikes me as someone who's watched a lot of Friends, but couldn't tell you how a TV works. Of course, I could be wrong, but I figure if I was being superficial by lusting over her face, I can be just as superficial by writing off her wits."

"The way she talks makes her seem as though there's no substance behind that pretty face which is sad. "

Believe it or not, crackwhores.com is totally safe for work. Really.
crackHoes.com on the other hand... not so much.
Comments:
"If I clicked on the link for crackwhores.com and laughed at the fact that it takes me to a drug rehab website, does this make me a bad person? Am I going to hell?"
