MAT bus I rode the bus today. Historically, I've hated busses, but I went for a walk, and ended up further from home than I cared to walk again. The bus stop was nearby, it didn't require a transfer to get home, and I still have my student ID which allows me free MAT fare. I've never ridden the MAT bus before, but as of today, it may be a more frequent occurrance.
I had a conversation with some girl about her pretty hair, and with another about my iPod. The ride didn't take that long, and it was nice to just chill out and listen to Tullycraft while watching Fargo go by. It's nothing like what I expected it would be. Almost... pleasant.
Who knew?

"YOU WALKED SOMEWHERE!!!???? Besides to the corner place where you spend your Saturday nights???? I am quite surprised! Pleasantly, I might add....glad you enjoyed it and it was a fun experience. With the price of gas, that is a very wise idea! Coming home for Easter?"

"Sounds cool! I currently take the school bus to classes but have my own car for other ocassions/needs. Going for a walk, eh? I haven't done that... in ages... But now I'm too lazy to even go for a walk. Few things are around my house that seem interesting."

I hate drink recipes that involve the perversion of Guinness. Blasphemy, the lot of them.

Comments:
"In the spirit of This Day, is green Guinness a perversion?"

"Yes."

...I'm not one to much stock in the predictive powers of the Book of Revelation, given that almost all Biblical scholars believe it to be an allegorical State of the Union tale of Christianity in Rome written in code to avoid punishment, but I do find it ironic that most fundamentalists are on the outlook for a charismatic, lovable leader who will ascend to power on the strength of false religiousness, convincing many of his piety [while] committing patently sinful acts of a global scale. And they're still looking. No leads yet on that one.
-Jason Lord
I've always kept a sort-of-but-not-quite-secretive admiration for Jason Lord, which began during my first week of college. I was standing in my room in Johnson Hall, and I read an article he wrote in The Spectrum which was essentially a print version of a Daily Show episode. I've been a fan ever since.

Comments:
"Jason Lord is still there? Duuuude. Why doesn't he just go to the mall or something?"

"No, no, no; he's in Chicago. (I should be so lucky.)"

Skype (and wireless phones) can get a little flakey sometimes, and if you're at the computer, eventually the substance of your conversation can move more into the iChat channel rather than the voice channel from which it began. Jeff and I have had this happen several times. With just such an event this afternoon, Suw and I have coined a new term.

metaudio: the audio that allows you to hear the laughing, clicking, and background noise that accompanies an ongoing IM conversation.

I took the SexID test and came out dead center. We're talking totally luke warm--across the board. You know, I think I like it that way.
