the blogger decoder

I've been blogging for 9-12 months. I don't own a domain, but I have my own web address. I use Blogger, BigBlogTool, upsaid or other similar service to update a site on my own web host. I link only to sites I like to read (and sites that I have time to read) on a regular basis. I check my stats occasionally, mostly to discover new blogs that are linking to mine. I link to the standard A-list blogs (Megnut, Kottke, Robot Wisdom, etc.), because I enjoy reading their sites regularly. I blog from either home or work, but only after my work is done and when I get some free time. My entries are a mix of some original material, some web links, and links and comments about other blogs. Some people like to get it on with other bloggers, but for me, the last thing I need is to get sexually involved with one of these neurotic blogging pinheads. I have posted at least a photo of my face on my blog, but not much more. I've taken a few surveys or participated in a few memes, but there seem to be so many of them I have to pick and choose. Friends know about my blog, but I generally don't talk about it with some groups (ie: family and/or co-workers) because they probably wouldn't get the whole blogging concept.
